The UAPB Homecoming Parade is scheduled to begin: Saturday, October 26, 204, at 9:30 a.m.
APPLICATION DEADLINE is Friday, October 11, 2024, by 5:00 P.M.
PARADE ENTRY FEES:
- Decorated Floats: FREE
- Marching Bands: FREE
- Car/Motorcycle/SUV/Truck: $50.00
PARADE ROUTE FOR 2024
PARADE STARTS ON W 15th STREET. Turn LEFT on MAIN STREET and travel NORTH
TO EAST SIXTH STREET. Turns RIGHT on EAST SIXTH STREET and crosses EAST EIGHT AVE. PARADE ENDS. Units
traveling back to UAPB’s campus (by bus) continue onto WALNUT STREET. TURN RIGHT onto
WALNUT STREET and travel to MARTHA MITCHELL EXPRESSWAY OR PULLEN ST. Turn
LEFT onto MARTHA MITCHELL EXPRESSWAY or PULLEN ST. and travel to UNIVERSITY
DRIVE. TURN RIGHT on UNIVERSITY DRIVE to UAPB’s campus.
DETAILS:
Policy: Campaign materials may not be displayed on elected official's vehicles. Only incumbent national, state, county, and city elected officials participate in the parade. Identification of elected officials shall be limited to name and office held. For safety reasons, no one will be allowed to ride on the hood of a car, truck/SUV. Also, throwing treats or handing out any objects to spectators along the parade route is forbidden.
